1TO5.AI’s Global Engineering team is looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer with a strong DevOps background to lead our Agentic and AI Engineering Tools team. You will be responsible for architecting and building the platforms that integrate cutting-edge open-source projects into supported 1TO5.AI AI/ML products.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional efforts to define and drive customer use cases for our AI engineering platforms.
- Architect and guide the development of a Python-based automation platform for CI/CD, observability, and continuous testing.
- Establish and champion best practices for automated and manual testing of AI components.
- Proactively identify, document, and lead efforts to mitigate unwanted behavior and bias in AI models.
- Lead engagement in upstream AI/ML communities, evaluating and proposing new technologies.
- Drive the research and design of new features, with an emphasis on model performance, scalability, and automation.
- Act as a primary contributor and steward for open-source projects that comprise our AI product family.
- Serve as a technical authority for project stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, and senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Expert-level Linux administration skills, including containers.
- Expert-level Python development and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced skills in shell scripting (e.g., bash).
- Extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies.
- Deep understanding of DevOps and DataOps methodologies.
- Experience with Pytest, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, including troubleshooting and working with operators.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
